History
The UCC College of Law is a brainchild of Mayor Oscar G. Malapitan. It was established in the pursuit of his “Tao and Una” philosophy of governance and his vision for the city that firmly upholds justice and the rule of law.
With this vision to make quality legal education accessible to the poor, the UCC College of Law was conceptualized in 2014 and formally created through Sangguniang Panglunsod Ordinance No. 0569, s 2015, dated 10 March 2015 and approved by Hon. Malapitan on 19 March 2015.
Conferring a degree in Bachelor of Laws (LIB), the College aims to promote excellence and superiority in providing legal education for responsible leadership, sustainable development of the law and the administration of justice from the city to the country.
